Role of the School Counselor

The school counseling program supports students in developing the academic, social-emotional and career skills needed for success in school, work and life. School counselors help students connect academics to future goals, explore careers, build positive relationships, and develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills needed to become responsible and productive citizens, as outlined by the American School Counselor Association.
