A Message From the Principal
A Message from Ms. Mayo
Dear Students, Families, and Community Members,
It is my honor to welcome you to the Campus of Virginia Randolph for the 2026–2027 school year. I am deeply committed to leading a school community where every student and family feels heard, valued, and supported. We recognize that each student’s educational journey is unique, and we are dedicated to providing families with the information, resources, and tools needed to confidently navigate their student’s pathway toward graduation and beyond.
Our work is grounded in the enduring legacy of Virginia Estelle Randolph, whose vision of education emphasized developing both the mind and the ability to work with one’s hands. We preserve that legacy by educating minds, nurturing hearts, building character, and preparing students to turn their talents into meaningful opportunities. Her example reminds us that education must be relevant, practical, and connected to the possibilities that await beyond the classroom.
As our world and workforce continue to evolve, students must be prepared to adapt, think critically, communicate effectively, and pursue pathways that align with their interests and strengths. At CVR, we are committed to exposing students to a variety of postsecondary opportunities, including college, military service, skilled trades, career and technical education, apprenticeships, and direct entry into the workforce. Through strong instruction, hands-on learning experiences, community partnerships, and career exploration, we strive to ensure every student leaves us prepared to be enrolled, enlisted, or employed.
As principal, I am dedicated to serving this campus with integrity, compassion, and purpose. I believe authentic partnerships among students, families, educators, and the community are essential to student success. I invite you to stay connected, ask questions, share your ideas, and work alongside us as we help every student recognize and pursue the possibilities for their future.
Together, let us honor the legacy of Virginia Randolph by building upon the foundation she established and creating new opportunities for the generations who follow.
Together We R.I.S.E! One Team. One Mission. Endless Possibilities!
