A Message from Principal Mayo

Good Afternoon AVR Families,

This past Thursday, we had the pleasure of hosting 100 Men Day on the Campus of Virginia Randolph, and it was a wonderful experience for our male students. We are grateful to the leaders, community partners, mentors, and community members who gave their time to encourage, inspire, and connect with our young men.

We truly appreciate everyone who helped make this event a success, and we encourage families to stay on the lookout for information about next month’s 100 Women Day event in October. More details will be shared soon, and we extend an open invitation to parents, guardians, and community members who would like to support and participate. We are always excited to partner with our families and provide opportunities for you to be an active part of your student’s learning experience.

As you review this week’s newsletter, please take a moment to read through the important updates, reminders, and upcoming events. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school on Tuesday, September 22.

Please also remember that Monday, September 28, is an HCPS Division Professional Learning Day for teachers and staff. Students will not have school on that day.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of AVR/PACE. Together, we continue creating meaningful experiences and opportunities for our students.
